Kurt began his teaching career in 1995 and immediately starting looking for ways to update the traditional Kindergarten curriculum. His criteria for choosing themes was simple, what do 5 year olds like to do and which of those activities could you build a theme around? He immediately observed which books the kids were fighting over in the library and began building his themes around those subjects.
